I will be staying at the hotel with my son on the night of Aug 19 and have booked a double room. I do not see a provision where I can request 2 single beds and not a double bed. Can this request be honored? Much thanks.

Hi. I have made a note of this on your reservation, and we will do our very best to accommodate your request. Usually, you would need to contact our reservations department directly when it comes to such requests. However, as it is fashion week and they are extremely busy, I have, quite exceptionally, taken care of this for you. Have a great stay! Best regards.

My wife and I would like to book a non-smoking room online at Ibsens. How do we do this?

Hello. When booking your room online, simply make a note in "Comments" that you'd like a non-smoking room. You're also most welcome to contact our reservations department at tel. +45 33 95 77 44 or e-mail hotel@ibsenshotel.dk.

Hi, our plane arrives in Copenhagen at 10.25 on Friday 6th. Now, we can only check in after 2 pm at Ibsens, is that right? If so, can we bring our luggage there earlier and leave it there safely, however, to make it easier to enjoy the town before checking in later? :) Also, how much is the cost of bike rental for 1 day/two days and are there enough bikes available? Or is there a City bike spot closeby (free "rental")? How about car rental? If we rented a car with you on the 8th until the the 11th, how much would that be for a normal-size car for four and could we leave the car at the Kastrup airport on the 11th? Lots of questions, yet all vital! :)

Hello, we are coming to stay at Ibsens Hotel next weekend but I have limited mobility. Do you know of any companies that hire wheelchairs for a few days, and would you be able to help with the arrangements? Many thanks, Sara

Well, that's a good question!.I've tried to google rental wheelchairs in Copenhagen, and it seems as though most companies only rent out on a weekly or a monthly basis. I think I found one placethough (the site is in Danish). As far as I can see the wheelchair would be 105 kroner in rent (35 kroner per day), 75 kroner in initial fee, and 500 kroner in transport. Furthermore they ask for a deposit of 1000 kroner. Anyway, I'm sure the good people in the reception will help you, so I'll explain the situation to them and have them contact you per e-mail on monday.

Are there any car parking facilities either at the hotel or nearby. If so what is the cost?

The hotel doesn't have it own parking lot, but it is situated in an area with lots of small streets where you can leave your car. The price for parking in the streets varies from almost 20 kroner per hour on a regular weekday over 3 kroner per hour at night and to free parking on sundays. We do, however, offer the possibility of parking in the parking lot that belongs to our sister hotel, the Hotel Kong Arthur, which is located right behind the Ibsens. The price is fixed at 150 kroner per day and it's not possible to pay by the hour. So what solution is the best, cheapest and most convenient for you depends on what days you are staying with us and how much you are planning to use the car. Hope this helps.

Hi, our group will be coming in from Copenhagen international airport to Ibsens Hotel. There are 7 people in our group. What will be the best way to get to the Ibsens Hotel? Thanks.

The easiest would of course be to just grab a taxi at the airport. They are readily available and will take you directly to the hotel in about 20 minutes. It is, however, just as fast and a lot cheaper to grab the metro, which will take you straight to the Nørreport train station, that is situated just 5 minutes away from the hotel if you walk. The metro leaves right beneath the airport and all lines pass the Nørreport station.

Do you accept small dogs? I have a dachshund (5 kilos) well behaved and quiet.

We do accept small dogs at the hotel -- just remember to tell us about it when you reserve the room. You should also know that when you bring a dog you'll probably be offered one of the smoking rooms.

My colleages in Sweden are going to an exhibition at the Bella Center. I wonder what is the distance between the congress and your hotell? Thank you in advance.

The Bella Center is about five kilometers away from the hotel. Ibsens Hotel is situated in central Copenhagen while the Bella Center is a little bit outside of the city. It is, however, very easy to get there since the hotel is located just next to Nørreport train station, which has very freqent trains that will take you straight to the Bella Center.

Hi. Ibsens Hotel has a wireless connection in all guest rooms as well as common areas. It is not possible to connect by wire, though. The use of the internet is free as long as you bring your own laptop.
